Passiflora Lucy Zara x quinquangularis Plant 1

A couple of pictures of this new hybrid, which flowered for the first time today, it was a result of a cross done during last winter, in the heliquarium.

This is a cross between the hybrid 'Lucy Zara' (conzatiana x citrina) and quiquangularis.

We have plenty of cuttings from Plant 1, and from Plant 2 [not flowered yet] of this hybrid.

Passiflora 'Lucy Zara'

Here is a picture of another of my 2004 hybrids, Passiflora Lucy Zara, which flowers most days in my collection, the first picture is the plant 2, which most or all the surviving plants originate.
Passiflora 'Lucy Zara'

Passiflora Lucy Zara, is growing at Kew Gardens, and i have 5 plants in my greenhouse, and a back-up plant on holiday in an orchid house.

Sanguinolenta x Quinquangularis [Martins Magic]

My flower bud on the new hybrid xerogona is forming, looks like it may be a pink flower.
I have other seedlings of this cross which look different, so this is seedling 1.
Below a picture of the flower, better photo to follow.
Martins Magic has survived well and there are now about 15 plants, hopefully some will be availible later this year.

Passiflora Palomas Delight

Another hybrid from 2004, named after Paloma who works at Kew Gardens, who was the first to flower this hybrid, and her delight in beating my original plant, with her cutting flowering first. The same parents as P. Becky Speed. P. Palomas Delight is not in any known collections anymore, although a plant may exist somewhere as mentioned in the Becky Speed post.

Passiflora Snowflake

Here is one of my hybrids from 2004 Passiflora 'Snowflake' named as it was in flower on 1st January when snow was falling outside.

Passiflora Citrina x Passiflora Cobanensis. There are a few plants at Kew Gardens, sometimes on display, and a plant here in my collection.

Passiflora 'Jayne T'

A Hybrid of P. capsularis x P. conzattiana, and the female parent of P. 'Debbie Marie Hescott', a lovely passionflower that will grow to some size during the summer.

Passiflora 'Becky Speed'

The lovely Xerogona Hybrid 'Becky Speed' named after the lovely model of the same name, using P. cobanensis and P. citrina as parents. P. Snowflake is the cross the other way, and P. 'Paloma's Delight' is from the same seeds [and more common] as this hybrid. (P. 'Paloma's Delight' is believed to be lost from cultivation at present [Although a plant may survive at Tropical Wings Butterfly House in Essex]). There is a couple of P. 'Becky Speed' at Kew Gardens, and 1 plant in my collection. There may also be a plant at Wakehurst Place. In 2013 a couple of cuttings and 1 plant were moved to Tropical Wings for safe keeping.
